Traditional Family Portrait Session
The sun was shining. It was a warm October Sunday. The Sisson family met me at Commercial Street for family photos together. Part of the family lives up in KC and the other in Springfield. They were looking forward to the opportunity of capturing a few photos together since they were all in the same place. I can relate to that! You have to take advantage of those opportunities 😊.
We started near White River Brewing Company on the west end of the street. They had a wonderful white wall that I am seriously in LOVE with! I'll do photos there any day 😉. As time passed, their Nana appeared to become tired and one of the family members grabbed a chair from the outdoor patio of the restaurant. A short time later, an employee emerged concerned that we were taking the chair. As the family explained what was going on, the employee relaxed. She joked "I didn't think you guys looked like the type to steal a chair." Everyone laughed. Big thank you to this kind and understanding employee! P.S. the chair was returned to the patio. ❤️
While our time together was short. I enjoyed walking around the block getting to know this sweet family! I loved hearing that the whole family had recently been in my old stomping grounds of North Kansas City for a swim meet. Made me miss the city! To the Sisson family, I hope you love these images as much as I do! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to capture memories of you family.
